Background Information

Calgary Branch of UNA- Canada (UNAC- Calgary)

UNAC- Calgary is a branch of UNA-Canada, a national charitable organization and a citizen’s movement, which supports and promotes the values and goals of the UN in Canada. It is not an official office of the UN. UNAC- Calgary was established in 1980, incorporated in 1999, and follow the regulations in accordance to the Alberta Societies Act.  Our organization’s affairs are controlled and managed by our Calgary-based Board of Directors, who are volunteers and are responsible for policy decision, action, and management of general branch operations, between Annual General Meetings.

We partner with local organizations to engage Calgarians in the work of the United Nations, by providing them with funding.
